A Princess Cake

My kids and I spent the early hours of the morning today watching Prince William and Kate get married. My four-year-old daughter is crazy about princesses so she loved watching the dress, the flowers, and even the horse and carriage. We had a special tea party while we watched with tea, juice and blueberry scones.

So I dug out one of my photos of Ariel the Disney princess with a dress made of vanilla cake. Lily helped me decorate this for a young customer, and, although I do not regularly make cakes like this one, it was fun to do - especially when the customer is so pleased!

So happy princess day to all of us who are princesses at heart!
