All three of my nieces have birthdays in May. My oldest niece, Sammy, turned 14 this year and had asked many months in advance if I could make her a turtle cake for her birthday. She loves turtles.
She did not care what kind of turtle it was, so I was able to be creative (I love that!). The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream. It was a hit! My brother-in-law said it looked as if I'd picked it up out of the backyard :)
