Jungle 2nd Birthday Cake

At one of the bridal shows this winter, I received a birthday cake order. A little girl, Claire, was turning two, and loves jungle animals like monkeys and giraffes. So we came up with this cake. The cake flavour was red velvet with cream cheese filling, and there were chocolate cupcakes as well.

Here are a few closeups of the animals: there is a monkey in the tree, a tall giraffe with painted spots, a black panther hiding in the grass, and a pretty elephant reaching over the side.
