I remember first watching Ace of Cakes about four years ago, and got really excited about all the things one could make out of gum paste. I would sit with my sketchbook on my lap and scribble down the things they were making and any tips they might give. I cannot remember the first person I ever made, but over the past year or two, I have made many. My mother used to be a potter, and I would sit with her for hours making things out of clay. Now I get to use sugar!

This was a very pretty wedding cake. I like it very much but I confess it is not my design. I am very proud of the family topper, which is my design based on photos the bride passed on, including the outfits they wore at the wedding.
The cake flavours were dark chocolate with ganache, and red velvet with cream cheese filling. I have started to sell toppers to customers who are getting their cake elsewhere, or are having a cupcake tower. If you are interested in having a special topper made for your cake, drop me a line and I can give you an estimate based on what you'd like.
